If you look way down there (or use your 8x zoom), you can see the Land Rover parked near the bottom of the Space Needle.

We stayed in the Seattle area for a few days after the retirement ceremony, and Mike showed us a bit of the town. This is Rachel, Js, Mike, and three of his kids at the Glass Museum.

Mike and his mom (right) and his aunt (left). Everyone was extremely proud of Mike and very happy for him. (And yes, his mom is still totally hot.)

Js stands, for the first time, on his own at Mike's retirement ceremony. He was too distracted by the pool balls to remember to fall down.

I was warned when I bought it -- the roof top tent is a kid magnet. Pop it open, and suddenly its full of kids.

Js couldn't quite walk at Calistoga this year, but he could if he held onto something. One of his favorite things to do was to walk around pushing a chair. He pushed chairs all over the courtyard.

John and Diane survey the scene -- kids, grandkids, toys, and laughter. The real bummer about this picture is that only moments before, they had been standing together, arms around each other, looking like the perfect couple. I don't know if it was the need to change a memory card, the need for a new battery, or what, but something (and I remember being bummed about it) delayed me enough that I missed the shot. Moral of the story? Be prepared. (Which reminds me -- I need more batteries before this year's trip.)
