After 25 years, our neighbors two doors down have sold their house. Although I will miss them, I'm hoping the new neighbors will be equally nice.

I had heard from another neighbor that the new owners are a couple from Las Vegas -- boy, are they in for a shock with the weather! -- with a 3-year-old. Turns out, there's a lot more to it.

Last weekend, Rachel went to a show with her mom and sister-in-law. The show starred her step-sister Mary Jo. Mary Jo told Rachel that she had met our new neighbors. Turns out, one of them is Mary Jo's new boss. Further, they do have a 3-year-old son and he's a Land Rover fan. Apparently, he spotted Indy parked out back and thought it was pretty cool.

So we already have a connection with them. I'm looking forward to getting our two (4 and 2 years old) together with their 3 year old.

Journal Description

My life is, to me, ripe with frequent challenges, occasional successes, spontaneous laughter, adequate tears, and enough *life* to last me a lifetime. To you, however, it surely seems most pedestrian. And therefore, I recycle the name I used previously and call this my Notebooks of Daily Life. Daily, because it's everyday in nature, ordinary. These conglomeration of events that are my life are of interest to me because I live it, perhaps mildly so to those who are touched by it, and could only be of perverse, morbid curiosity to anyone else. Yet, I offer them here nonetheless. Make of them what you will, and perhaps you can learn from my mistakes.
