Friday, May 12, 2006 Once upon a time, the American People was a group one could be proud to be a part of. Not so anymore. "Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." (B. Franklin) Since the government can't police itself, it looks like they're going to get away with the destruction of this grand experiment. I'm not bailing quite yet -- family keeps us here for now -- but I certainly feel no loyalty to the government as it is today or to the country that let it happen. My father was an immigrant; I see no reason why I couldn't be one as well. |
