Uncle Roger's Notebooks of Daily Life

Introduction

My life is, to me, ripe with frequent challenges, occasional successes, spontaneous laughter, adequate tears, and enough *life* to last me a lifetime. To you, however, it surely seems most pedestrian. And therefore, I recycle the name I used previously and call this my Notebooks of Daily Life. Daily, because it's everyday in nature, ordinary. These conglomeration of events that are my life are of interest to me because I live it, perhaps mildly so to those who are touched by it, and could only be of perverse, morbid curiosity to anyone else. Yet, I offer them here nonetheless. Make of them what you will, and perhaps you can learn from my mistakes.

Strange Dreams

I had an odd dream this morning.

It started off with being offered a job at a great company working with an incredible person. The guy who offered me the job, however, was one of the other dad's from Sara's swim class, who, I'm pretty sure, doesn't work there.

After that, it seems Janet Jackson (cupcakes anyone?) had been doing some work on the house and was washing up in the attic bathroom. I offered her the opportunity to take a shower (since she seemed to be topless and covered in lather anyway) and she accused me of just wanting to see her in the shower. I responded that no, I just wanted to show off our bathroom which is great. (Later, I thought about adding "if I do say so myself", but didn't bother.) Mind you, seeing Janet Jackson in the shower isn't exactly an unpleasant thought.

Anyway, next, it seemed I had placed a cache near a night club where my cousin was playing. He told me he was going to find the cache, since he knew where it was. I went in and found a seat at a table near some friend and...

the alarm went off.

I usually can't remember dreams. That may be a good thing.

I don't always, but sometimes I do. I tend to have pretty cool dreams, usually.
