Monday, June 20, 2005 I remember hearing the story of a small town barber who suddenly found himself with some big city competition. He was the only barber in town when one of the low-cost chains opened up shop just up the street. The new shop, expecting to win customers because of their low prices, put up a sign advertising "6 dollar haircuts". Their was much excitement in town as everyone waited to see how the old barber would respond. They didn't have to wait long; the small-town barber quickly put up a new sign of his own with some gentle wisdom: "We fix 6 dollar haircuts". If you're tired of six dollar haircuts, I've got the guy for you. Gus Piazza works out of the "beauty" supply store in Embarcadero 4 and does an amzing job. Imagine if you gave Van Gogh or Picasso a used pizza box -- they could still produce a masterpiece. Well, I am that pizza box and Gus always seems to make me look great. He's not cheap, but he's not outrageous, either. He's worth every penny. |
