Introduction My life is, to me, ripe with frequent challenges, occasional successes, spontaneous laughter, adequate tears, and enough *life* to last me a lifetime. To you, however, it surely seems most pedestrian. And therefore, I recycle the name I used previously and call this my Notebooks of Daily Life. Daily, because it's everyday in nature, ordinary. These conglomeration of events that are my life are of interest to me because I live it, perhaps mildly so to those who are touched by it, and could only be of perverse, morbid curiosity to anyone else. Yet, I offer them here nonetheless. Make of them what you will, and perhaps you can learn from my mistakes. Sinasohn.Net

Monday, June 20, 2005 I remember hearing the story of a small town barber who suddenly found himself with some big city competition. He was the only barber in town when one of the low-cost chains opened up shop just up the street. The new shop, expecting to win customers because of their low prices, put up a sign advertising "6 dollar haircuts". Their was much excitement in town as everyone waited to see how the old barber would respond. They didn't have to wait long; the small-town barber quickly put up a new sign of his own with some gentle wisdom: "We fix 6 dollar haircuts". If you're tired of six dollar haircuts, I've got the guy for you. Gus Piazza works out of the "beauty" supply store in Embarcadero 4 and does an amzing job. Imagine if you gave Van Gogh or Picasso a used pizza box -- they could still produce a masterpiece. Well, I am that pizza box and Gus always seems to make me look great. He's not cheap, but he's not outrageous, either. He's worth every penny.
