Old MacDonald Had A Woody

Jared's favorite song, currently, is Old MacDonald Had A Farm. Around our house, however, Old Macdonald isn't your everyday farmer type.

It started with his wild animals -- tigers, lions, giraffes, elephants (do you know how hard it is to make an elephant sound with bad sinuses?) -- then moved on to more exotic animals. His favorite is probably a wombat (with a fly fly here and a fly fly there -- don't ask me, I just work here) but even that has gotten a bit prosaic.

Apparently Old MacDonald collects garbage trucks. Not just your everyday, ordinary garbage truck, mind you, but Fall-Down Garbage Trucks. I have no clue where that came from, but apparently it makes the sound of a garbage truck (errrrrrrrr) followed by a falling-down sound (boompboompbuhdumpbumpbumpbuhdumpbumpcrrrshshshshsh). Our friend the erstwhile farmer has been known to take in the occasional fall-down fire engine, but mostly he's into the garbage trucks.

Recently, MacDonald has been showing the effects of Jared's movie viewing -- he has collected quite a few Woody's, plus the sporadic Buzz Lightyear to go along.

Journal Description

My life is, to me, ripe with frequent challenges, occasional successes, spontaneous laughter, adequate tears, and enough *life* to last me a lifetime. To you, however, it surely seems most pedestrian. And therefore, I recycle the name I used previously and call this my Notebooks of Daily Life. Daily, because it's everyday in nature, ordinary. These conglomeration of events that are my life are of interest to me because I live it, perhaps mildly so to those who are touched by it, and could only be of perverse, morbid curiosity to anyone else. Yet, I offer them here nonetheless. Make of them what you will, and perhaps you can learn from my mistakes.
