Introduction My life is, to me, ripe with frequent challenges, occasional successes, spontaneous laughter, adequate tears, and enough *life* to last me a lifetime. To you, however, it surely seems most pedestrian. And therefore, I recycle the name I used previously and call this my Notebooks of Daily Life. Daily, because it's everyday in nature, ordinary. These conglomeration of events that are my life are of interest to me because I live it, perhaps mildly so to those who are touched by it, and could only be of perverse, morbid curiosity to anyone else. Yet, I offer them here nonetheless. Make of them what you will, and perhaps you can learn from my mistakes. Sinasohn.Net

Wednesday, October 06, 2004 After a week of being stuck with a <shudder>Ford Taurus</shudder> for a week, I picked up the Captain this morning. For those that haven't met him, Captain Spaulding, the African explorer, is our 1999 Land Rover Discovery Series II. You may recall a bit of a mishap last week that sent him off to the body shop. The other guy's insurance accepted full liability, of course, so the bumper is all nice and straight again. It wasn't a lot of damage, mind you, but the bumper was a bit out of whack. Moral of the story: If you make a mistake and miss your exit, or end up going the wrong way, accept it, continue on, and work your way back to where you want to be from the next exit. Don't endanger your life and vehicle, not to mention those of others who share the road with you, by trying correct your error at the last moment. Anyway, in celebration of his safe return, (and to try out putting images in my journal,) here's a photo of the Captain, Rachel, and the kids:
